JustUpdateOnline.com – Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Vantage Data Centers has officially opened KUL14, a 16MW data center located in Cyberjaya. This new facility marks the completion of the company’s inaugural campus in the region, known as KUL1, and aims to address the surging demand for large-scale digital infrastructure within the country.
The newly inaugurated KUL14 serves as the fourth and final installment of the KUL1 site. According to the company, the entire capacity of this facility has already been secured by a single tenant, highlighting the intense interest from hyperscale clients looking to bolster their presence in Southeast Asia.
Jeremy Deutsch, who serves as the President of the Asia-Pacific region for Vantage Data Centers, noted that this expansion aligns with the rapid evolution of Malaysia as a primary data hub in the territory. He emphasized that the facility supports the growth of a specific client while paving the way for further local investment. The company is already looking ahead, with plans for a second Cyberjaya campus that is expected to provide over 400MW of IT power.

Environmental efficiency was a core focus during the development of KUL14. The building utilizes a specialized closed-loop cooling method that significantly reduces liquid consumption, resulting in an exceptionally low water usage effectiveness (WUE) rating. Furthermore, the project reached completion after more than four million man-hours of labor without a single recorded safety accident, showcasing a strong commitment to workplace standards.
This latest development contributes to Vantage’s extensive regional network, which now spans approximately 1GW of active and upcoming capacity across various markets, including Australia, Japan, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. As cloud service providers continue to scale their operations, Malaysia’s strategic position in the digital economy continues to strengthen.
